Virginia Shepley

Virginia Shepley is an abstract painter using line drawing and biomorphic forms as a visual representation of fundamental spiritual ideas. Virginia received her Masters of Fine Art in Painting from John F. Kennedy University’s Arts and Consciousness Program in 2001. Inspired by eastern philosophies, she explores unity and duality on paper as a metaphor for the human struggle to find a place of balance. Her work explores the connections and borderlines between physical reality and the invisible. Shepley’s work has been shown in solo and group shows in galleries in California and North Carolina. Her drawings and paintings are in private collections around the world. Virginia lives and works on a farm in Tobaccoville, North Carolina.
